I don't even know where to start from. So many things happened. It was horrible as fuck that I don't wish to pen it down here. But oh wells, I'm sort of over it. So...
Chao 2016! Good riddance.
2017, I'm here to slayyyyyy! *flicks hair*
2016 was the shittiest year evahhhh! But... I count it as blessings. 2017... I'm here to slay, bitch. 👸🏻 I kid. 😂 I chose this photo out of all my 163738 photos cause this one looks like a potential photo for the next Malay Presidential campaign. 💁🏻HAHAA. Dressed in Pantone of the year colors - Rose Quartz and Serenity! Hahaha.
That aside. We just found a new ootd spot at work. Something we least expected - Our VM room! Haha. This was actually our VM Store room. It was then converted into a fitting room for 2 weeks as we're collaborating with Puma and they needed a space in store for customers to try on the clothes. So our store room becomes the target. -_-
I'd say, the lighting and shadows in here ain't that bad. Very artsy fartsy. Me likey.

Oh nothing. Here's me attempting to do some editorial poses. It was so funny. We were all laughing like crazy during this "shoot". So much effort for an ootd photo. You had no idea how many burst shots we did just to achieve the photos below. Hahahaha. So stupid. But we sure enjoyed it.
And that MSGM tee I'm wearing was a good steal k. Jill and I were window shopping around Taka and chanced upon the MSGM Sale. The tee was on half price and we both couldn't help it but to purchase it immediately! lol.

Who wouldn’t be familiar with this brand?
Known for using provocative names on their product shades - such as “Orgasm”, “Striptease”, “Deep throat” and “Sex Machine”. So kinky. Haha. (Of course they’re not known only for that!)
I personally have not tried Nars products before but I’ve always heard friends raving about them. Not just that, Nars was also regularly seen on YouTube beauty videos – To name a few: Shaaanxo, Wayne Goss, Saaammage
When I got the opportunity to try out Nars products and give it a review, I was really psyched. These are the products that I’ve picked up from Sephora.sg
Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer – St Moritz
I don’t know about you but I personally love to skip the foundation and substitute them with baby powder. I don’t know man. I just hate the feeling of having something thick, cakey and oily on my skin. So my everyday make up would normally consist of baby powder, under-eye concealer, brows, mascara, blusher and lipstick. I believe you could tell that I’m quite a lazy girl. Lol. But ehhh, I’d put in extra effort on special occasions!
When I found out that Nars has Tinted Moisturizer in their range, I was so eager to give it a try! I was initially torn in between the shade St. Moritz (Medium with a neutral yellow undertone) and Groenland (Light medium with a neutral pink/peachy undertone) but decided to opt for St. Moritz since my skin tone is towards the yellow side (if that even make sense???) Though I felt that St. Moritz makes me look a little tanner. Heh.
I applied and blended the product with my fingers but of course if you prefer to use brush or sponge, that’s your call. Consistency is very light. Bear in mind that this is a just a tinted moisturizer hence, do not expect a full coverage from this. Building up the application of moisturizer would not help to give you a full coverage too. However, this tinted moisturizer helps to reduce the redness and dark spots on my skin. It didn’t look cakey nor gives me any wrinkle lines even after long hours of wear. Honestly, I didn’t even remember that I’ve applied the product on my face! I’d say this product is for me! Perhaps, also for those who wanted to achieve a “no make up” look. Hehe.
Not only does this product protect my skin from the sun, it also helps thirsty skin feel hydrated. Benefits of this tinted moisturizer? It contains SPF 30, Paraben-free, Sulfate-free, phthalate-free and synthetic fragrance-free. I was sold!
AND for some reason, I also feel that Nars Tinted Moisturizer makes my skin glow! Lovessss!
Next product is… The Blusher!
Blush – Deep Throat
Wah the name of this shade I cannot take it sia!!! LOL. But ehh, the color is sooo [insert heart shape eyes emoji]! It’s a beautiful soft pink color with a hint of golden sheen and it’s quite pigmented! Application was smooth. I didn’t end up with streaky or splotchy blush. Oh and thank you Nars for adding that golden sheen cause it’s almost as good as putting on highlighter to my cheeks. That being said, one step lesser for my special occasion make up! Ha ha. The only downside of this product is that, it didn’t come with a blush brush considering the price is a littleeeeee steep. Ok la I know most people wouldn’t even use the brush that some cosmetic brands provided but for a lazy person like me… I’d be more than happy to utilize them brushes especially if I bring the product along with me to some places.
Last but not least is… The Lip Pencil
Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Sex Machine
Lipsticks. Ahhh my friends would know how obsessed I am for lipsticks! For this review, I chose their lip pencil since I only own a few.
Nars has 3 types of Lip pencil –
Velvet Gloss - Delivers spectacular shine and smooth, buttery texture. An innovative, lightweight formula is enriched with Vitamin E plus a blend of moisture-rich hyaluronic spheres that make lips appear fuller.
Velvet Matte – Contains rich pigments and a velvety matte finish. The long lasting, non-drying formula is enriched with emollients for a creamy texture, while a combination of unique silicones ensures long-lasting, seamless color for hours
Satin - rich, color-bright pigments while drenching them in decadent moisture. A modern, long-wearing, vitamin-enriched formula for lips
After some thoughts (It was a difficult decision!!!), I opted for Velvet Matte Lip pencil in Sex Machine - A pink mauve shade.
It glides on very smoothly unlike my other lip pencils I owned. Color pay off was good when I swatched it on my wrist but unfortunately didn’t really work the same on my lips. Well that’s probably cause, the color is a tad light. SOOOOOOO, in order to make the color pop a little, I dabbed on some foundation on my lips before layering it over with the lip pencil. Lasting power was not that bad either. Oh and if you have dry lips, I’d suggest that you apply your favorite lip balm before hand so that the application would be smooth and color would be less streaky.
Ending this post with my selfie. Haha.
